Welcome to Our Time Fiddle-dee-dee where creatures of the animal kingdom, be they furry, web-footed, hoofed, winged or whiskered, are the subject matter. The animal them of Fiddle-dee-dee ties in nicely with the musical themes. Animal sounds, so appealing to children, naturally prompt imitation of provide abundant active listening and vocal play material. And in the context of moving like animals we are easily able to focus on movement concepts such as high, low, smooth, bumpy, fast, and slow. In Fiddle-dee-dee, named after the folk song about the fly who married the bumblebee, families will be treated to an ample and diverse collection of music. In addition to the variety of stringed instruments, many cultures are also represented as well as a variety of genres including classical recordings and traditional folk songs and rhymes.

Our Time encourages toddlers to uncover an engaging musical world while building confidence, self-control, and communication skills. Singing, imitating sounds, rhyming, and object identification foster language skills, while creative movement to various musical “moods” develops a sense of balance, timing, and spatial awareness. Listening and turn-taking encourage blossoming social skills.

Our Time reflects the emotional foundations of school readiness and the latest research on music and early childhood development. Our Time is a unique opportunity for parent and child to interact and learn together in an unhurried and joyful manner.
